I had safety concerns regarding someone that worked the night shift in my building. This individual had gestured to me, "I'm Watching You" early in the morning after walking my dog. This individual has access to all our homes, cars, and cameras in the building where I reside. I tried to speak with the management and the HOA Board to communicate my safety concerns. I was told by both that a thorough investigation on this individual was performed and they voted unanimously that this individual was not a threat and any further communication must go through legal representation. I had asked repeatedly whether criminal background checks were being performed on staff. 

I live in a luxury high rise. One would assume criminal background checks were being performed on staff given the fact that staff have access to our homes, cars, and personal information including access to cameras throughout the building including the gym, pool, and spa. The building management and HOA Board project an image of building safety and having 24-hour desk attendants. The night shift attendant works 11-7 am. Walking the perimeter of the building, watching the cameras while the residents are at sleep. Since the management and the HOA Board appallingly dismissed my safety concerns regarding this individual and for 3 weeks would not answer whether background checks were being performed, I took matters into my own hands, because I was that fearful for my safety!

I tried repeatedly to inform building management and HOA Board of directors of this individual's criminal past. Per the local police and KGriff Investigations, I was strongly advised to continue reaching out to both management and the Board. On a certain date, days after the incident in which this individual has continued to work the night shift, I hesitantly but determined for the sake of my safety and others, went directly to the management, gently knocked on the door in my last attempt to communicate my concerns. The response was not receptive.

The management and HOA board's actions have compromised our building safety! Their EGO's and misuse of power have compromised my safety! Weeks after the incident, the night shift attendant was finally terminated. No statement of apology for how I was treated. No mention as to the real truth of this person's criminal background. The level of harassment and unfair treatment I received by management and the Board of directors is DISGUSTING! They should be held accountable for how I was treated. Regarding background checks, after weeks of voicing my concerns and inquiring about them, it was admitted that no checks were performed. A third party was blamed for this oversight.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND KGRIFF INVESTIGATIONS BECAUSE KATHY AND HER TEAM ARE STRAIGHT SHOOTERS, DIRECT, TO THE POINT, GET THE FACTS, TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE, PROMPT, EFFICIENT, CARING, AND PROFESSIONAL!!! Unlike the management and the HOA Board. Clearly, the HOA BOARD operates at a high level of organized behavior at the expense of the residents!
